I was able to purchase Café Maya Whole Bean Coffee with a $10.00 off coupon, bringing the price down to $2.99. This coupon is no longer available, but Amazon frequently has a deal on this coffee.
- Region: Arabica Honduras shade-grown coffee.
- Roaster: Coffee Club
- Roast: Medium roast and medium-dark roast are available in ground and whole beans. I had the medium-dark whole bean Café Maya coffee.
- Flavor: Café Maya medium-dark roast brewed a nice black coffee with a roasty aroma. The flavor is multi-layered with a sweet spice-tone with hints of dark chocolate, oak, herb sweetness, and earthiness. There is a bright acidity to this coffee.
- Overall Impression: Café Maya coffee is a solid coffee. It is better than many of the coffees available in the grocery store, but many small independent roasters make a better coffee. I will continue to buy this coffee when it is on sale from Amazon, but I will not pay the retail price for it (I also run a deal blog so I rarely pay retail price for anything).
